At our annual Christmas Concert at The Mick Jagger Centre (Dartford) we were joined by surprise guest Myleene Klass for a very special performance...
In order to celebrate its 18th birthday, ChildLine has been running a campaign entitled “In Tune with ChildLine”, encouraging musicians to help them raise £320,000 in order to counsel an additional 10,000 children.
During the autumn, members of the band took up the challenge of learning a new musical instrument in just 12 weeks and then taking a Grade 1 examination, with sponsorship based on their exam results. Assisted by Clara Taylor, Chief Examiner of the Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music and examiners Vanessa Latarche and Tim Barratt the band undertook their Grade 1 examinations in November, with a 100% pass rate. Afterwards Clara Taylor said “This was a terrific event with a wonderful outcome. I am so glad that the Associated Board was able to help”.
The Eynsford Concert Band would like to thank all the family, friends and local businesses that have been involved in making this event such a success and for helping raise such a fantastic amount of money for ChildLine. |
