"Eynsford Concert Band releases latest CD Recording - Heritage"
In October 2009 the Eynsford Concert Band finalised its fourth recording – a CD entitled ‘Heritage’ – featuring five works by living British composers and taking its name from the specially commissioned piece by Nigel Clarke entitled ‘Heritage Suite’. The other works featured are ‘Albion Heritage’ by Philip Sparke; ‘Paris Sketches’ by Martin Ellerby; ‘Thames Journey’ by Nigel Hess and ‘Yiddish Dances’ by Adam Gorb.
This year marks a new milestone in the journey of the band, with our collaboration with Nigel Clarke leading to Heritage Suite (What Hope Saw), his latest composition for symphonic wind ensemble. We have had an amazing experience, from the first rehearsal with Nigel through to the world premiere performance and the recording of this CD.
The CD costs £10 and will be available at our performances. It is also possible to order copies by sending us an email. Postal orders will be subject to £1.50 postage and packaging per CD.

"Eynsford Concert Band selects
Every year the Band selects a charity to support through
donations from concerts and social events.
For 2010, we have chosen the Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust as our Charity for the year. The Trust has helped support the The Oliver Fisher Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Medway Maritime Hospital, Kent for over 25 years. It has raised over a million pounds to buy life saving equipment for very sick and tiny premature babies. The band hopes to raise money through social events and,
hopefully, a children's concert during the year. Read more about The Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust
