In August 2008, the Eynsford Concert Band embarked upon their latest adventure - a 2 week Mediterranean cruise aboard Fred.Olsen's Black Watch. With a large group of friends and family, the band were able to enjoy a perfect summer holiday together as well as perform as part of the ships entertainment programme.

Between the 2nd and 15th August, the band cruised the Iberian
ports of Lisbon, Cadiz, Majorca, Barcelona, Ibiza, Malaga and
Gibraltar. During the 2 week cruise, the band performed over 50 pieces of music in 7 concerts to over 1000 members of the ships passengers and crew. Our themed concerts consisted of both matinee and evening shows, inside and on-deck, including:
A great time was had by all and the band would like to thank Fred Olsen and the entire crew of the Black Watch for their help in organising the tour and their generous hospitality throughout the cruise. |
