A Concert in the Castle

2pm, Sunday 17th June 2018

 

 

With the kind permission of English Heritage, please join Eynsford Concert Band and the Darent Valley Youth Music Concert Band for an afternoon concert in the sun (hopefully) in the fabulous grounds of our very own Norman Castle dating back to 1066.

The afternoon will start at ~2pm and will include performances from both Eynsford Concert Band and the DVYM Concert Band, followed by a massed band finale.

In order to make the most of the afternoon, please feel free to bring a picnic an something to sit on.

 

This open air event will be subject to the weather being kind to us and will need to be cancelled if rain is likely.  Parking is also extremely limited, so please plan to park in one of the main village car parks.

Swanley Park 1812 Fireworks Spectacular

7.30pm, Friday 24th August 2018

 

Join us once again for a summer’s evening of family fun including the popular entertainment, food and stalls, culminating in a concert of popular classics and fireworks to accompany Tchaikovsky’s 1812 overture.

Bring a picnic and enjoy the various community stalls, boating lake and miniature railway from 5pm with The Rock Choir and Eynsford Concert Band performing from 7pm.

Don’t miss out on this fabulous and free spectacular event brought to you by Swanley Town Council.

Remembrance Service

This year we commemorate 100 years since the end of the First World War and at 10.30am on Sunday 11th November, we will be proud to join the churches and people of Sevenoaks for an extended Service of Remembrance at the Sevenoaks War Memorial.

Please join us to remember the sacrifices made on our behalf by the armed forces of this country during the two Great Wars and since.

“The Magic of Christmas” – In Concert with the Band of the Grenadier Guards

In support of ABF – The Soldiers’ Charity

Eynsford Concert Band are thrilled to announce that their Christmas Concert this year will be a break from tradition.  We are delighted that the Band of Grenadier Guards will join us to share “The Magic of Christmas” on Sunday 9th December at The SPACE, Sevenoaks.

This concert promises to be a festive, fun evening of music from Eynsford Concert Band and the Band of the Grenadier Guards, followed by a massed-bands seasonal finale    ….and all conducted by our very own Major Mike Smith!

 

This concert will again be in support of ABF – The Soldiers’ Charity, the National Charity of the British Army.  ABF gives a lifetime of support to soldiers and veterans from the British Army, and their immediate families.  It makes grants to individuals through their Regiments and Corps and support a wide range of specialist charities that sustain the British Army ‘family’, both at home and around the world.

 

Please bring your christmas hats, tinsel and singing voices to help us celebrate the magic of this most wonderful time of the year.

A Christmas Celebration

We are very pleased to be invited back to the magnificent surroundings of St. Nicholas Church, Sevenoaks for an evening of traditional carols, popular Christmas classics and the St Nicholas Drama Group.

Join us afterwards for a glass of mulled wine and mince pies in the vestry.
