A Virtual Christmas Celebration

6:30pm, Sunday 6th December 2020

Eynsford Concert Band first performed in the St. Nicholas Christmas Celebration in 1997 and we have been part of this annual service almost every year since 2004.

We were therefore delighted when Rev. Angus MacLay asked us to help them through this years’ service, being held in such difficult circumstances.

In response to this call to action, the band has recorded 2 carols, playing as individuals at home and submitting our recordings to be ‘mastered’ by our resident sound engineer, Pete Ringrose.  In addition, we have provided three recordings from Christmas Concerts past,  all virtually introduced by our own Mike Smith.

In addition to performances from Eynsford Concert Band, the concert will include the virtual choir of St. Nicholas, messages of Hope and readings from Rev. Angus.

We hope you can join us and provide your usual support to this wonderful congregation as we start our Christmas Celebrations in as usual a fashion as we can.

“Many thanks once again for the visit from the Eynsford Concert Band to St. Nicholas Sevenoaks.  It really does start up our Christmas season and we were delighted with the way in which the band performed.  Please also especially pass on my thanks to Mike for the way in which he conducts and also interacts with the congregation – it is hugely appreciated.”   Rev. Angus MacLay, Rector
