Eynsford Concert Band are delighted to be joined by Kent Youth Wind Orchestra for this year’s Christmas Concert.
Kent Youth Wind Orchestra (KYWO) was formed in 1976 with the aim of providing talented wind, brass and percussion players with the opportunity to extend their performance skills at County level. It has provided a concert platform for thousands of players over the years and has performed at numerous major concert venues in the United Kingdom and abroad. The ensemble averages 50 players who live in Kent and range from age 11 to 19, a number of whom regularly play in Eynsford Concert Band as members of our Young Musicians Academy. They meet for three courses each academic year and are coached by professional musicians.
Directed by Mike Smith and Lt. Col. Craig Hallatt, please join us for a joyous selection of Christmas favourites, poor cracker jokes and seasonal celebrations to get you fully into The Spirit of Christmas!
This year’s concert will be in support of Barnardo’s – Eynsford Concert Band’s chosen charity of the year.
