On Sunday 23rd April 2023, Eynsford Concert Band performed a joint concert with the Band of the Grenadier Guards at The Sevenoaks Performing Arts Centre (The SPACE), Sevenoaks, Kent.
Entitled ‘For England and St. George‘ and to a sell-out audience of over 400, the evening celebrated this year’s St. Georges Day with performances from both bands.
…followed by a massed bands grand finale with 87 musicians on stage!
As you can imagine, in performance this was LOUD, so we recommend that you turn up your volume to get the full authentic experience!..
Raising over £4,000 in one concert is a fantastic achievement and we thank you all for your generous support. ABF – The Soldiers’ Charity give a lifetime of support to soldiers and veterans from the British Army, and their immediate families, when they are in need.
This was the 6th concert that we have performed together and, marking Mike’s retirement from the Army after 39 years of service as well as Captain Ben Mason’s final concert with the Grenadier Guards, this concert was a fitting and memorable occasion for them both.
