Eynsford Concert Band supports the Motor Neurone Disease Association

The village of Eynsford nestles in the beautiful Darent Valley in the northwest corner of Kent.

Eynsford Concert Band was formed just over 40 years ago and has rehearsed at the local primary school there ever since. We get together every week for the fun in making music and to prepare for our performances, which we give throughout the year both locally and internationally.

Charitable fundraising has been undertaken by our Band for many years, and has enabled us to donate substantial amounts to many good causes. It is traditional for us to choose charities that are dear to a member or members of the band.

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) has touched a couple of members in the band and in particular, Stephen recently found out that Michael, his brother, has been diagnosed with MND.

Once the family came to terms with the news, Stephen said, “It was a great relief to find that the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) was available, offering dedicated support and care, and specialist advice.”

“It felt important to me that I tried to give something back and was therefore thrilled that my friends in the Band were happy to join me in supporting the MNDA as their chosen charity to support in 2019.”

Through our concerts and social events throughout 2019 we will be raising funds for the charity.

To help in this effort, the band has set-up the following Just Giving page:
