We’re back!

Ian Page

Eynsford Concert Band is back in rehearsals …almost.

The band hasn’t been able to rehearse since 17th March 2020. Since then we have done our best to keep the band connected with quiz nights on our regular rehearsal evenings and some great ‘lockdown performances‘ that you should all be familiar with by now.

We’re still unable to get the whole band together so, (hopefully) just for a few weeks, we’re running a series of socially distanced sectional rehearsals.

Last week 15 members of the Brass section blew off the cobwebs and had a run through of some old favourites, plus some the new pieces we’ve been lining up.

This week saw 26 members of the Woodwind section come together and remind Mike of the mountain we have to climb before our first concert at the end of August!

It was great to see everyone and to see how much they had clearly missed making music together. The Brass will be back in action again next Tuesday and we all look forward to restarting full rehearsals from 20th July.

We’ve also missed you, our audience, and hope we’re now on track for our first performances at Swanley Park on Friday 27th August and at Lullingstone Castle on Sunday 12th September.

We’re all looking forward to seeing you there!
